Gold Credit Cards

Gold credit cards are a step up from the basic credit card. The gold credit card indicates you've paid your balances on time and are earning an excellent reputation with credit card companies. Gold cards offer more perks than standard credit cards, but may not offer as many as a platinum credit card.

A Gold card will usually have lower interest rates than an ordinary credit card and may combine low interest rates with rewards of some kind. Some gold credit cards offer a choice of cash back, airline miles, or bonus items, while others offer users increased safety measures such as fraud prevention. Many gold credit cards also offer users any number of discounts and bonus offers from associated companies such as car rental agencies and hotels.

To qualify for a gold credit card you must have good or excellent credit and no mistakes in your past regarding credit cards. You must also have a solid foundation of credit to qualify which may mean years of using other forms of credit cards.
