A business credit card seems to be very similar to a traditional credit card with the exception of its designation. Business credit cards are for business owners and executives and often offer you additional benefits over traditional cards such as expense tracking, multiple cards for employees, higher credit limits and special reward programs.

To apply for a credit card for a business, you will have to show evidence of your involvement as a decision maker in the business. If you have your own side business or run a company, a credit card intended solely for your business use will help to keep business purchases separate from personal expenses. You're also able to get additional cards for employees and some credit card companies even allow you to set individual limits on the employee cards.

Like all credit cards, the offers by individual companies vary. Special offers and promotions come and go, so be sure to research a variety of business/company credit card options to find the one that offers you the most in the form of savings as well as meeting your specific business needs.
